Hungry Ghost Month

It is once again the start of Lunar Seven Month which marks the start of Hungry Ghost Festival. During this period, a typical question I receive would be if renovation and/or moving in to your new house is allowed? 

Applying the science of Feng Shui, yes, this is ok. Why? A simple reason is because even in the Lunar Seven month, there would still be good dates available too and that is the main consideration.
 
Chinese customs and Fengshui aspect has been mixed and passed down over time. As such, putting one and one together – most believe that you cannot renovate and no works are to be done. If not, the house or works may encounter problems.  
 
In summary, yes, commencing or having renovation done during this period has no bearing. Select a good date customised to your birthdate and you are set to go. On the contrary, it might not be a bad thing during this period for works as this is a less busy month for most contractors and movers.
