What is the most commonly question you heard to enhance office fengshui? I must say my fair share would be “Is my seat in my favourable direction?”
Typically, most of us have read on various feng shui solutions to boost one’s luck. This I must say is not a wrong solution and the easiest within what one can do. Albeit, if I were to point out, its the easiest way though it has much lesser impact. How can you as an employee or more importantly as a boss improve your office feng shui?
Location within the office is more important than Direction
The prosperous location within your office holds a higher key consideration over the direction. Each commercial property are like houses where there are the prosperous sectors in your office too (and the not so good sectors).
Should you be located at the negative sectors, even if your direction is good, it may only be limited in helping you. (But better than nothing!) As such, the entrance, meeting rooms and where employees sit are important.
Even in a good office but should your prosperous location of the office be in a store room or toilet would just mean the good luck goes to waste.
For employees though, we all know more often than not, there is no say in where you can sit. As such, my advice for employees? Find out your best direction using your Kua number as this is at least in some ways within your control.
The Corner Office
Bosses would be need to pay attention to this. After determine the prosperous location, the senior management level should also be put in the location to boost their authority luck. Why this focus? Being the leader of the company, we would naturally want to strengthen and enhance your luck within the office. There are specific area meant for this for better luck and wealth enhancement. Likewise, respective key revenue or people related function (e.g. sales, HR and Finance) should also be placed in the right location. Feng shui assessment is thus best when done before moving into office for better planning.
Advice for employers and bosses? Do the planning and assessment before confirming the office.
Flexible Office Concept’s Flaw
As this is the "in thing" in coporate world especially in start up, I though I would share my opinion on this. The cool thing nowadays could be such open and flexible concept within the office but this may pose a flaw in feng shui aspect. As employees are given the flexibility (including the boss), there are no fixed seating. With this, it is hard for anyone to tap on the prosperous area of the office feng shui.
In summary, the above mentioned is to give a key yet simple understanding of just one part of office feng shui and its planning. There are other areas of considerations to feng shui for a commercial property (e.g. layout outside the property, roads around it, building age, size and more). Such planning is applicable be it the business nature or industry and best done before move in.

I recently met up with a lady (let’s call her Ms. A) whom is in undecisive about her career route. Ms A is born in 1989 year of snake which below I have attached her chart.
From her chart, Ms A is born during the autumn season which indicates a strong metal season. This helps to determine her strong day master status. It is important that there is only 1 earth supporting this xin metal as too much of earth will ‘buried’ the metal – not a good sign if that happens.
Note that the snake in her chart also represents that she is someone whom goes by the book and would tend to not go by the unorthodox way. This is because in her chart, snake carries “Direct officer” star, a concept from “Ten Gods”. Person whom possess this star usually has the character of being hardworking, go by the book and tenacious.
This was confirmed by Ms A as the above totally fits her character. She has also revealed the reading resonates a MYERS-BRIGGS test she did before which she is surprised. Separately, Ms A did consider venturing into sales which I have also advised that this would be to her disadvantage. From her chart, she is someone suited more to administration and people related function (but not sales).
2. Career Luck – Her successful start
As we go along, she experienced Bing fire (丙) which is her career stars from age 23. Given her chart, as explained earlier, this would be a great phase which benefit her career from age 23 to 29. However, this will start to change from age 29 onwards. This is due to the incoming Rat water luck in 子.
If you note on the current 12 zodiac, we are in the earth Dog year this year. Next year comes the water Pig year亥. With earth and importantly water years coming in, her career will progress slower. As such, main advice was to manage her expectations as the growth would not be that fast compared to her previous years.
Ms. A whom is age 29 now confirmed that during her start of career since after uni, she has experience smooth luck in career. She has enjoyed couple of promotions in succession over the 5 to 6 years till date.
3. Si Hai (巳亥) Clash
Although the pig year will only come in in the 2019, it seems that it has already worked its effect. In event of such clash, Ms. A’s fire luck would be clashed. Fire being her career stars, when clashed it means a likely job change in 2019 which is likely to be unavoidable.
At the time of this reading back then, Ms. A was recently offered to take on a new role in 2019. This is on top of her decision to possibly leave her role now which she has been asked to re-consider by her office.
There are other areas of Ms. A’s chart which were covered which I would not go into. However, the purpose of sharing this reading is to share how our bazi can reveal our destiny and what is upcoming. Understanding it can then help us in maneuvering our way carefully. When the correct star comes, one should grab the opportunity.
