10/29/2016 4 Comments What is your talent? Not too long ago, a group of good friends had a gathering and the below palatable table of mouth watery food was made by our host.
Besides the food that was excellent, everyone had awesome time. Good food and great company, the magic formula. But behind all these, I wonder how does one enjoy creating and putting up such a great galore of dishes? Putting my bazi thinking cap, I reach a conclusion that someone with such interest to be of someone likely with good quality output stars. You would typically find this in the Ten Profiles (十神) under profiles such as “The Artist” (食神) or “Hurting Officer” (伤官). Gordon Ramsay has a Hurting Officer in his chart, the late Steve Jobs also has the Artist star in his profile. A person with such star(s) will typically enjoy various creation – from inventing, creating such as chef, artist, or a role that requires strategizing and ideas. Notice the similarity from these indicated profession, it is the ability to create and having ideas. Now the key aspect, you think.. how does that translate into our career advancement and plans? If one would want to look at what kind of role, function and to some extent, the organisation that you are best suited to work for, this is the starting point. In other words, if you are someone whom has good output stars as above could be someone suitable to work in strategizing, marketing, creating and designing jobs. (The different kind of stars in your chart actually will depict what kind of roles you would enjoy or be suitable for.) A familiar perfect example of job frustration: You are someone with strong output stars but stuck in an operational role with many routines and little freedom to express your creativity. Yet, you wonder what was wrong and you just hate your job! With the longevity requirement for us to work longer into our retirement age and pace of change, we would also tend to change our career path than our previous generation. It is no wonder the government is also having Skills Futures credit of $500 for us to learn a second skill. As such, a good understanding of your own chart can harness and uncover your hidden or not so obvious traits and strengths that you possess. Knowledge is power and certainly leveraging on these will give you the edge. Do you suffer the job frustration or wonder what’s your hidden talent? It is never too late to find out. 10/23/2016 1 Comment Arsene Wenger, The Arsenal Legacy  Close friends would know that I am a big fan of Arsenal (besides subject of Fengshui) and how befitting that I will start off this blog penning about on Monsieur Wenger’s birth chart. He is easily one of the unique football manager around – a economics graduate with no less than 5 proficient languages. He celebrates his 67th birthday on 22 Oct and let’s look at his chart..
Talent Spotter You wondered how did one groomed and spotted the many young or unknown talents over these 20 years? (Henry, Fabregas, Vieira, Anelka, Petit, RVP, Ramsey and Iwobi.. the list goes on) Introduce the Jia wood just beside him on the month pillar. Being a slightly weak Yi (乙)wood person, he needs support. With the Jia (甲) wood just beside the day stem, it is akin to a weak stem plant growing on this Jia wood tree for support! Usually, someone with such chart will possess ability to spot talent and would have support in life when needed. Separately, such chart usually indicates a good relationship with his sibling. First title and the Invincibles In bazi consultation, we usually look at one’s luck pillar for insights into what is to come. At 45 years old (己巳) luck pillar, there is a combination of ” 丑E2 + 巳 E10 + 酉E6” (a metal combination, which represent his career luck). A sign of him rising to career peak? He joined Arsenal in August 1996 at 46 years old. He subsequent went on to winning his first title 1998 and 2002. In 2004, he led his team into a streak of not losing a single game in 49 games earning his team “the invincibles” nickname. Interestingly, his last title was during 2004 which was during the end of the (己巳) luck. There is another half fire in combination of 午E7 and 戌E11. Will he win the title again? There was a good chance for him in 2016 however, it was not meant to be. In 2017, the odds would not be high though not impossible – 50/50. (Note on clash of 卯E4 and 酉E10). Fingers cross.
