2018 戊戌 Earth Dog Year

It is 2018 and we are nearing 立春 coming on 4 Feb at 5.28am!
This means officially the earth dog year will begin on that day and bring about its influence – not from 16 Feb. If you are born before this period, you would therefore be considered as under the zodiac of rooster.
 
That said, with the lunar new year, our individual luck would change. As such, usually people usually take a look at their new year fortune and consultation. 😊
In this year, it is the (戊戌) earth dog year. What does it imply though?
 
Some areas to share:
 
In the earthly dog year, metal is almost non-existent and water is weak. Fire (丁) is strong with support from wood（甲寅）.
So for a start, you can see that the metal industry (cars, jewelry and engineering) would likely not do as well especially during summer period in 2018.
Best performing would be the fire industry (technology, telco and eateries/restaurants etc) and wood industry (fashion).
 
Those born with the Dragon (辰) element in their bazi would face either possible job changes or boss issues or family relationship disharmony depending on where it appears in your bazi chart. This is due to the well-known Dog and Dragon clash and therefore causing such issue. The clash of the Dog and Dragon would also cause possible earth related issues such as earthquake or building related accidents during the lunar spring period which is the dragon month between 6 April to 5 May.
 
The other area to note would be on giving birth during spring period. This is due to a clash that would be in the bazi (dog year and dragon month pillar) between 戊戌 and 丙辰. As such, it is advisable to choose a date out of this period if possible should you be doing caesarean birth.
