A Feng Shui audit - what goes on?

​During a recent CNY feng shui sharing session, I was asked about what are the key considerations of a feng shui residential audit. There were many questions around it – sudden illness or health issues to improving relationship matters with regards to feng shui. After this long CNY break, I thought of sharing what goes on during a feng shui audit and the key considerations.
 
The feng shui audit is in general divided into 2 broad areas – external and internal aspects.
 
Surroundings (External)
Once we begin on the audit journey, the house would first be audited based on the surroundings. For a start, the areas to considered includes roads, buildings and land where the property is being build are surveyed. Why? The roads and buildings surrounding are akin to water and mountains in the ancient days. One example would be of a condominium, which typically may be in front of the swimming pool (water features), which consist a few areas of considerations. These are areas being assess to ensure minimal negative energy would affect the property in question.
 
With this, this answers to the question why it is also optimal to commence the feng shui audit before a property is being purchased to ensure better feng shui. This compare to stumble onto a less than optimal unit which you have to apply cures or one that is with bad feng shui. Just imagine this analogy, a good car already runs well would be better than one that requires a lot of repairs and fixes in order to run well.
 
The House (Internal)
When we come to the house, the few key considerations revolve around these 3 areas – Main door, Kitchen and the Bedrooms. So why these areas?
 
Main door, Kitchen and Bedrooms
Main Door is where the entrance and energy (qi) enters your house. As such, it is the (one of the main) key factor in deciding. It goes without saying then this has a strong bearing on the ‘quality’ and luck of the house. Should the main entrance not have positive energy, the unit’s luck would already be greatly diminished. As shared, a place that requires minimal cure is always better than one that require various cures.
 
Kitchen is the other area of considerations and this would have an effect over the health of the occupiers. Where do you place the stove and oven? How do you ensure the facing is optimal? Do we place them over the negative or positive sector within the kitchen? Most of the current new flats that I have seen have constraints with a small kitchen. These are one of the areas to consider and to balance with a practical approach.
 
Bedrooms are where most of us would sleep and rest for over a third or more of our time. With this, it has another crucial bearing in the feng shui audit. Positioning of bed and direction – which is more important?
Should we place our beds and tap into the best direction for the individual but with a less optimal area within the room (e.g. bedhead facing the door or around the door area)? These key decisions must be considered to ensure the owners and occupiers to have the best outcome to enhance health and wealth matters. It is here that we scrutinise the room to avoid clashes and evaluate layout to avoid illness or other health issues. We could also look for ways to improve relationship matters here.
 
Lastly..
In a nutshell, the feng shui audit aims are to enhance the positive energy (in the area of health, wealth and relationship matters) within your property. This is basing on calculations from key information such as direction, layout and time period of house built. The occupiers’ bazi is also used to maximise luck of the individual . Most of cures are simple and economical to enhance the occupiers’ life.
