Cesarean births are becoming common nowadays. With that, some parents actually opt to select an auspicious date to have the baby delivered. This is how a fengshui master’s role come in to pick a good date for delivery – a great honour and one that carries a lot of responsibilities. But what usually goes behind this date selection for new born? How is it different from an auspicious date selection for house moving etc?
C-section is different
First of all, auspicious date for birth is different from moving house or business opening date selection. Yes. Please do not take the 通书 or almanac to select, as I have personally heard of such practise. This is because birth date selection considers looking at the bazi context of things which is totally different. As such, choosing a delivery date base on a day is simply auspicious without considering the bazi aspect would be akin to playing Russian roulette. So, if you are keen to select a good birth day, do seriously consider getting a fengshui master to assist.
What happens if you decide on getting a C-section date selection?
Most of time, as parents get excited and discuss with me on possible date selection for their baby delivery, one thing is often forgotten – the gender! You see, depending on if its a boy or girl, differences in gender causes a difference in bazi’s luck! So for a start, gender confirmation is required.
Thereafter, usually a window period of 7 to 10 days is provided by the gynae. This is where I would use this window as basis to perform the selection. The objective here is to look for the best bazi among the many bazi combinations. At the same time, filter out those average or less ideal dates for delivery.
Imagine 6 different timings a day multiply by 7 to 10 days. Total of 42 different bazi to 60 bazi combination! Such selection is also manual and requires thoroughly consideration. It is thus time consuming and tedious.
In C-section date selection, there are considerations and technicalities – clashes/kong wang (空亡) /goat blade, auxiliary stars and structure of bazi to name a few. Other than that, another area to look at is the luck of the newborn. There can be situations where bazi is good but luck is poor and vice versa. Which do you choose? This is usually a choice that is not easy and best to leave it to your fengshui master.
Putting all these together, we look to ensure key areas in health, studies, career, relationship and wealth aspects can be balanced for the newborn’s bazi. Ultimately, we filter out the less ideal dates for birth. So altogether, babies are born on the better date with better bazi from the careful selection.
A consultation usually follows to share your baby's date of delivery and bazi selected. Strength and areas to look out for would be shared.
As with all date selection, don’t leave it to too last minute to check out the ideal date for delivery. This is because gynaes also have limited slots to perform the delivery based on his or her schedules, worse if it’s a “peak” period. (Yes, there is especially during holidays season etc.)
Once dates have been provided by your fengshui master, parents can then proceed to book the golden date with gynae.
I would continue to share info on c-section birth in another upcoming article soon. Thanks for reading and happy weekend!
