Case Study: Sacking of Pochettino

Looking at this chart, does it struck you with the number of water in the bazi chart? What does the water element do and represent? Is it like some mainstream belief that water is wealth and the more the merrier?

Welcome to this case study of Mauricio Pochettino, an Argentine football manager and the ex-manager of Tottenham Hotspur football club. For football fans, you would know that after bringing the club to one of the most successful season going into the Champions League Final in 2019, he has been sacked.

The areas we would explore and analyse some coincidence:

1. Why did he suddenly lost 7 out of the 12 English Premier League (EPL) games since Feb 2019?

2. Why was he suddenly sacked on November 2019?

Started the season well but.. what happened?

Pochettino and Tottenham Hotspur started the 2018-19 season well. Reaching February 2019, the team was 2nd in the EPL. They won 20 out of their 26 games at that time (a strong 77% win rate). But since February 2019, he only won 4 of the next 12 EPL games left (a very low win rate of 25%), losing 7 of them. That is a huge drop in winning percentage anyone can see. 

What is the explanation of Pochettino going through a bad phase since February 2019?

Based on Pochettino's bazi chart, he is a 壬 water day master. Other water that are already in his chart are what we term as "Friend stars" (比肩). This is due to being the same element and thus the term “Friend stars”.

With many water already in his chart as plotted, he would usually dislike going through water years. It imbalance the bazi chart with arrival of more water (such as Pig or Rat years). As such, 2019 being a Pig year which is water, is not favourable for him as the year begins. This is what we call 比肩夺财. Meaning arrival of friend stars robbing his fortune literally. • It was reported in various news source that his players were unhappy with him and he would not even discuss game tactics with his players.
• Relationship with his players suddenly broke down over this period quickly. It was also reported that after losing the Champions League Final to Liverpool, he left quickly and not with the team together back to England. (Typically, the manager and team would travel to and fro the game together)
• He was reported to have also left a note to say goodbye after being sacked.

All these were some of issues reported in various news reports. 

Pochettino has been with the club for over 5 years and it is known that the club has been getting better by the year. His downfall seem to be peaking by the day as 2019 progresses.

Why November 2019?
The Pig water month started on 8 November. 20 November 2019 was the day he got sacked. ​Barely 2 weeks after the start of the Pig month. If you look at it, you could say the arrival of water element is also the strongest during this point of time. It was a extremely cold day if you look at the gloomy chart below, a water month and year on a metal day.

Coincidence he got sack during this unfavorable period on the arrival of water month?

Summary
I have mentioned earlier the effects with too much water. Pochettino's end to his reign at Tottenham is very sudden given he has been doing well over the past 5 years. Things really turn fast. This is even ironic given what he has brought to the club, albeit without winning any trophies. In my opinion, most would not have expect him to leave if this question was posted before he started losing. 

What happens after this? Looking on the bright side, Pochettino's issues are only caused by this year and 2020 (2020 is a rat year which happens to be a water year too). Upon the passing of this water period, he should do well again.
 
This forms my analysis of how being a water day master, the arrival of water has greatly affected him. (As with the reported issues that were reported)
